03/03/2026 Preble Shawnee Wins Thriller Over Indian Lake

Brody Morton hit 2 free throws with just 4 seconds left as the Preble Shawnee Arrows 45-43 in a thriller at Bethel High School on Tuesday night.

Preble Shawnee shot out to a 10 lead in the first quarter.

Turnovers hurt the Lakers in the first quarter with 7. The Arrows would capitalize off those turnovers
Brody Morton scored 7 points in that first quarter and Preble Shawnee lead 12-5 after 1

Indian Lake would battle back to make it 20-17 at the half. Avery Pequignot lead the way for the Lakers with 6 points and the Lakers would outscore the Arrows 12-8 in the quarter

In the 3rd quarter the Lakers came out cold and we held scoreless until Pequignot hit 2 free throws to make it 28-19 Arrows. But the Arrows would outscore the Lakers 11-5 and would lead 31-22  at the end of 3 quarters

Indian Lake would come alive in the fourth to try and keep their season alive

Preble Shawnee would score the first 7 points of the quarter giving the Arrows a 38-22 lead. But the Lakers wouldn’t quit. They would score 6 unanswered points and Indian Lake would only trail by 10.

Preble Shawnee was lights out to start the 4th quarter outscoring the Lakers 7-0 in the first 2 minutes.
But after an Indian Lake time out the Lakers would catch fire and pull within 4 points after a Brody Reisinger 3 pointer with under 3 minutes to play. Avery Pequignot would then drain a 3 pointer and the Lakers were within 1 point wit 2:50 left
Reisinger would eventually tie it up at 43. But Brody Morton would end it with 2 free throws with 4 seconds left.

Indian Lake desperately tried to win it with a 3 pointer but to no avail and Preble Shawnee would win it 45-43.

Brody Morton led the way for the Arros with 19 points and Brody Foxbower ended up with 10

The Lakers were led by Senior Avery Pequignot with 23 points followed by Brody Reisingers 13.
The Lakers end the season at 18-6 while the Arrows improve to 21-4 and will play North College Hill, a 72-41 winner over Seven Hills, Saturday at Noon at Middletown High School
