Chaminade Julienne Heading To State Finals

Fairborn Ohio

  Ja’Kyiah Cook scored 16 points, Mychael Hanson and Maggie Bush each had 15 as the Chaminade Julienne Eagles defeat the Copley Indians 62-57 to advance to the Division 3 State Finals tomorrow at 3:45 at the UD arena vs St.Vincent-St.Mary.
Cook put up a shot in the lane that gave the Eagles the lead 58-57 with 15 seconds left to give the Eagles the lead for good.

  Evelyn McKnight led the Indians with 24 points while Zoey Van Voorhis was lights out from 3 point range, she had 21.

The last time the Eagles were in the finals was back in 2005 when the beat Mount Notre Dame 49-38.
CJ has won the state title 3 times, 2005, 2003 and 1999.

Chaminade Julienne improves to 23-4 while Copley ends their season at 21-6.
