CLEVELAND, Ohio – Earlham College field hockey junior Megan Hut has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Field Hockey Player of the Week in a release by the conference on Monday.
Hut, who is being honored as player of the week for the second time this season, scored her second hat trick of the season in Earlham’s come from behind 3-2 double overtime victory over Wooster on Sunday. Trailing 2-0 at halftime, Hut rallied the Quakers to their first victory over Wooster wince the 1993 season. Hut is second in the conference in goals with six.
Earlham (3-2, 2-1) also defeated Oberlin 3-0 on Saturday for its first conference win since 2009. The Quakers take the two-game winning streak into the weekend where they face the top two teams in the NCAC, Kenyon and Denison. Earlham is scheduled to face the Big Red on Friday at 5 p.m. followed by the Ladies on Saturday at 11 a.m.
