Freshman Meg Reineke Named OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week
Dayton, OH – The Ohio Community College Conference (OCCAC) announced Tuesday that Meg Reineke, has been voted the OCCAC player of the week in women’s volleyball.
Reineke (FR/Outside Hitter-New Knoxville H.S.) opened the week with 29 kills and 30 digs in a win over Columbus State. On Oct. 30, she had 20 kills, 16 digs and two blocks in a sweep of UC-Clermont before closing out the week with 11 kills and 13 digs in a sweep of Cuyahoga.
For the week, Reineke totaled 60 kills, 59 digs, three aces, four blocks (one solo) and one assist.
Reineke has 508 kills, 540 digs, 33 aces, nine assists and 26 blocks (nine solo) this year.
Sinclair (18-10, 8-6 OCCAC) will open Region XII District F tournament play this Friday at 1 p.m. against Lakeland. The winner will take on Owens at 3 p.m. The tournament is being held at Owens Community College with the championship occurring on Saturday afternoon
