Two Dayton area sports enthusists are coming together to launch the Gem City Sports Network (GCSN), a new internet radio station that aims to stream live sporting events of all types across Dayton and the surrounding areas. GCSN’s debut webcast will be on Tuesday November 27th as Belmont hosts Stebbins in girls’ high school basketball, with coverage beginning at approximately 7:15 PM at www.gemcitysports.com. GCSN will also be providing live coverage of a handful of other high school basketball games in the coming weeks. A complete and growing schedule can also be found at www.gemcitysports.com.

GCSN was founded by Brian Reiss of Kettering and Doug Brown of Huber Heights. Brian is a technnology expert who earned his bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Dayton. His tech roles in sports include webmaster for the Cincinnati Dockers, a position he still holds today. He has also served as webmaster for the Miami Valley Silverbacks, as well as two area MMA promotions.

Doug Brown is a veteran in sports and broadcasting, having worked as a cameraman for WKEF for many years. He also served as a statistician and media correspondent for the original Dayton Gems hockey team from 1975 to 1977. Recently, Doug also performed play-by-play duties for various high school football games as well as several games for Central State University.
